Dronavia began its journey at the Aéropôle Grand Nancy Tomblaine business park, where it quickly identified the growing global opportunities in the drone safety accessories market. It was there that the first Flight Termination Systems (FTS) and Parachute Recovery Systems (FTS) were conceived, designed, and rigorously tested on the DJI Inspire 1 platform.

Dronavia launched the commercialization of its first safety accessories for professional drones, with the IDRsys parachute and Flight Termination Systems (FTS) receiving DGAC approval and rapidly equipping the fleets of professional drone operators.
At the same time, Dronavia patented its CO₂-based parachute deployment system, marking the introduction of a powerful, reliable, and forward-looking innovation in drone safety.

Having become the European market leader, Dronavia now covers the full range of needs of professional drone operators while actively anticipating upcoming regulatory developments. In particular, Dronavia prepared early for the implementation of the EN 4709 standard, which came into force on 1 July 2023, ensuring that all its systems are fully compliant.

Dronavia is proud to be the first manufacturer in Europe to offer both C3 to C5 accessory kits and C2 to C5 conversion kits, enabling operators to transition to C5 classification in compliance with EASA requirements. In parallel, Dronavia was also the first manufacturer to deliver systems compliant with MoC 2511, and is now extending this leadership with solutions compliant with MoC 2512 (M2) published by EASA.
